In reruns of “Seinfeld” and “Yes, Dear,” I noticed the name of Peggy Stewart in the credits. Is this the same actress who starred in many B Westerns of the 1940s?
—J.A. Caron, Port Neches, Texas

Yes. And in the past five years, Stewart, 89, a native of West Palm Beach, Fla., has appeared on TV’s “The Riches,” “NCIS,” “Weeds,” “Justified,” “The Office” and “Community” on and in the 2012 Adam Sandler movie “That’s My Boy.” Between 1944 and 1951, she made about 35 films, mostly as a leading lady in Westerns. During the next two decades, she guest-starred on numerous TV shows, including “The Cisco Kid,” “Have Gun—Will Travel,” “Gunsmoke” and “Daniel Boone.”
