What’s going on nowadays with the Bellamy Brothers?
—Mark Neal, Gresham, Ore.
Howard, 66, and David, 62, natives of Darby, Fla., recently released “Pray for Me,” their second gospel album. “Gospel is probably the first music we ever sang,” David says. “It goes back to our childhood, and we love those old melodies.” The sibling duo whose hits include “Let Your Love Flow” “If I Said You Had a Beautiful Body,” “Old Hippie” and “Redneck Girl” began their career in 1968 singing with their father at the Rattlesnake Roundup in San Antonio, Fla. The “other” Bellamy brothers, David’s sons Jesse and Noah, will release their own CD, “Driven Back,” in early 2013, which their dad describes as “throwback pop and country.”
