What can you tell me about Emily Rose from “Haven”?
—Lucas Carpenter, St. Cloud, Minn.
Rose, 31, is best known for her role as Audrey Parker in “Haven,” now in its third season on Syfy. But she also has a cult following for her role in the extraordinarily popular video game franchise “Uncharted,” in which she voices and portrays the game’s heroine, Elena Fisher.
In fact, in the third season of “Haven,” the two worlds collide as Rose’s “Uncharted” co-stars Nolan North and Claudia Black guest star.
“I think a lot of fans will actually really love to see that and the fact that our producers made that happen and saw that as an asset is really, really cool,” Rose says.
Other credits for the Renton, Wash.-born actress include “ER,” “Brothers & Sisters,” “Jericho,” “Harry’s Law,” “Private Practice,” “Two and a Half Men,” “Without a Trace” and “Cold Case.”
Rose received her undergraduate degree in theater arts from Vanguard University in Orange County, Calif., and studied Shakespeare in Oxford, England, at the British American Drama Academy. She continued her studies at UCLA, earning a Master of Fine Arts degree in acting.
She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, their two rabbits and a miniature schnauzer.
Of her role on “Haven,” she says, “My favorite scripts are the ones that have a quirkiness to them and that allow for those moments of the romance or of the real, hearty emotion, because you do feel like you’re really tapping into something very human. But then, that you’re also able to laugh about things and be quirky. Being able to do all of it is what I like about our show.”
