Please tell us what has happened to Gary Sandy since he played Andy Travis on “WKRP in Cincinnati.”

Sandy, 67, keeps busy performing 1940s radio-mystery dramas and recently starred in the play “The BBC Murders” in Florida. When his 1978-82 hit sitcom ended, the Dayton, Ohio, native went to Broadway, where he appeared in “The Pirates of Penzance.” He continues to enjoy theater and opens in “Time Stands Still” at the Theatre Aquarius in May in Hamilton, Canada. Of the camaraderie on “WKRP,” he says, “Gordon Jump was the nicest man who ever lived. Tim Reid was my buddy. I got along great with Frank [Bonner]. Loni [Anderson] was great, and Howard Hesseman has become a real friend.”
