The Quinault Rain Forest on the Olympic Peninsula is home to a number of giant trees, including the world’s largest Sitka spruce and a Western red cedar that is Washington’s largest tree. The rainforest on the western side of the state’s Olympic Mountains is part of an area where annual rainfall is measured in feet rather than inches. It receives an average of 10 to 15 feet a year.
