The Life and Career of “My Little Margie” actress
Is actress Gale Storm still alive?
—Charles LaBar, Cadillac, Mich.
Born Josephine Cottle in Bloomington, Texas, Storm has three stars on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame for radio, recording and television—but not one, ironically, for movies, of which she made more than 30. Her main claim to fame came from her 1950s sitcoms “My Little Margie” and “The Gale Storm Show.” As a singer, she hit the Top 10 with “I Hear You Knocking,” “Dark Moon,” “Ivory Tower, “Teen Age Prayer” and “Memories Are Made of This.” Married and widowed twice, she died in 2009 at the age of 87.
