Soap Star Jeanne Cooper
Actress’ book is an inspiration
I just finished reading Jeanne Cooper’s book “Not Young, Still Restless.” She has led such an interesting life. Does she ever think about retiring?
—Gale McBride, St. George, Utah
Cooper, 84, has no plans to retire from her role as Katherine Chancellor on “The Young and the Restless,” which she has played since 1973. The Taft, Calif.-born Daytime Emmy Award winner says she wrote her book partly to inspire women over the age of 40 who watch the show. Of her life today, she says, “You get up with hope and you drive out any negative thoughts that you have. You prepare your tomorrow by how you live today, and you try to make your tomorrow better.”
