Elfman, 41, says that her new sitcom character is not based on any specific First Lady, although there are several whom she admires, and they’re all rolled into her character’s personality. For example, she appreciates what Michelle Obama is doing in terms of organic gardening and getting children more active, but she also finds things to appreciate about Eleanor Roosevelt and Jackie Kennedy “I really admire Eleanor Roosevelt because she was bold and took great opportunity of her position, despite the position of women at that time,” the actress days. “And we all love the fashion of the Kennedy [era].”
