Can you tell me what happened to Johnny Whitaker from The Littlest Angel?

—Cassandra Shaw, Bangor, Maine

Whitaker, 52, works as a drug and alcohol rehabilitation counselor in Los Angeles. As a child actor, he originated the role of Scotty Baldwin on TV's General Hospital in 1965 and then played Jody Davis in the 1966-1971 TV series Family Affair. He says that his role as the little boy who dies and becomes an angel in the 1969 Hallmark Hall of Fame movie The Littlest Angel is "a standout in my career. So many people remember it as a warm and inspiring Christmas movie, and I'm proud to be associated with such a beloved special."
