I was so impressed with Olivia de Havilland’s performance in Gone With the Wind. I recently read she celebrated her 93rd birthday. Please fill me in on what she has been doing since her motion picture career.

The only major surviving cast member of the 1939 film classic, de Havilland played the memorable role of Melanie Hamilton Wilkes. The two-time Oscar winner continues to enjoy retirement in Paris, where she has lived for more than 50 years. Twice married and divorced, she has a daughter and lost a son to Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 1991. She adores the work of actress Meryl Streep and reportedly is writing an autobiography. And she continues to feel deep affection for the late Errol Flynn, with whom she made eight films. "I felt terribly attracted to him. And I still feel it," she told a reporter last summer.
