What is going on these days with Pat Boone? I have all of his records and saw all his movies.
—Roland Kuneff, Billings, Mont.
At 78, Boone, who was born in Jacksonville, Fla., and grew up in Nashville, Tenn., doesn’t sit still. “I seem to be insatiably curious,” says the singer of the No. 1 pop songs “Love Letters in the Sand,” “April Love” and “Moody River,” who recently released the CD “Pat Boone Pays Tribute to the Ink Spots Featuring Take 6.” He makes about 20 appearances a year in what he describes as “anecdotal concerts.” Married to wife Shirley for 59 years, he still plays singles tennis and says “one of my biggest highlights is my 18 years with Easter Seals.”
