Does Suzy Bogguss have anything new on the horizon?
—Helen B., Florida

She certainly does. Over the holidays, you might have heard a cut from her new holiday album, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. Bogguss released the album on her own label, Loyal Dutchess Records, and performed at a few clubs around the country in December in support of the CD. She's also negotiating a new record deal with plans for a new studio album this spring. Bogguss, 45, began singing at coffeehouses and small clubs around the country after graduating from college with a degree in metalsmithery. After years of traveling from town to town, the Aledo, Ill., native decided to move to Nashville, Tenn., in 1985. Before long she had a record deal, a platinum album, all sorts of awards, and hit songs such as Outbound Plane and Hey Cinderella. She has released an album every year for the last 10 years, except for 1995, when she and husband Doug Crider had their first child, son Ben.
