Whatever happened to Ty Hardin, who played Bronco Layne in the Western series?

Hardin, 83, was born in New York but grew up on his grandparents’ farm near Austin, Texas. The Korean War veteran, who played college football at Texas A&M under coach Bear Bryant, starred in “Bronco,” a TV spin-off of “Cheyenne,” from 1958 to 1962. He also was in the 1960s films “Merrill’s Marauders,” “PT 109,” “Wall of Noise” and “Palm Springs Weekend.” After making spaghetti Westerns in Europe and an Australian series, “Riptide,” Hardin retired from show biz and now lives in Southern California.
