The native of Chance, Md., 54, portrayed Clark Davis in six Hallmark movies, beginning with “Love Comes Softly” in 2003. Making his acting debut as a teenager, he played Jack in “Jack and the Beanstalk” for a local children’s theater and later earned a degree in communication arts at Salisbury University. Midkiff got his big break in 1986 as Jock Ewing in “Dallas: The Early Years” and then took the title role in the 1988 miniseries “Elvis and Me.” The married father of three starred in the TV series “Dream Street,” “Time Trax” and “The Magnificent Seven,” and in the movies “Pet Sematary,” “Love Potion No. 9” and “The Crow: Salvation.”
