What can you tell me about the new Bachelorette?
—Jeff McLaughlin, Broken Arrow, Okla.
After high school graduation in Northglen, Colo., Desiree Hartsock relocated to Los Angeles, where she attended the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FITM). She currently is employed as an operations manager and bridal stylist, looking forward to the day when she can own her own bridal boutique. Hartsock, 26, applied to the dating show hoping to find a relationship like her parents, who have been married for 35 years. “I do hope to meet the man of my dreams,” she says of her stint on The Bachelorette, on which she’ll pare down a group of contestants all seeking a way to her heart. “One of them, hopefully, will be my true love, as cliché as it sounds.”
