Please tell us something about Hugh Dillon, who stars as Ed Lane in the TV series Flashpoint. Where is the series shot?
—Karen Kirkland, Oak Hills, Calif.
Dillon, 46, began his entertainment career in 1987 as the hard-living lead singer for the Canadian rock group The Headstones. It wasn’t until 1995 that he added acting to his resume with the film Dance Me Outside. This was followed by Hard Core Logo, which caught the attention of director Quentin Tarantino, who distributed the film the following year. While shooting Flashpoint in Toronto, he was nominated for a Gemini Award (Canada’s equivalent of an Emmy) for his work in the 2007 miniseries Durham County. Dillon, who is married and calls Los Angeles home, continues to make music with his new indie-rock band, The Hugh Dillon Redemption Choir.
