I am a Matthew Perry fan. I watched him on Friends and, more recently, on the new series Mr. Sunshine. I’m curious: Which of the two characters—Chandler or Ben—does he think is more like him in real life?

Perry, 41, jokes that both characters look exactly like him. But he gets serious when he admits that Ben on Mr. Sunshine is more like who he used to be five years ago, before “enlightenment” came into his life. “I’m very in touch with that kind of drive—you know, a selfish guy trying to have a better life, and how confused a selfish person would get if he were told that the way to have a better life was to just be nicer to people and care about people.”
