The Adventures of TinTin: Season One
DVD ($19.93)

Tintin, a young investigative reporter, began as a French comics character and went on to spawn a series of internationally translated graphic novels, a BBC radio show, a new big-screen adventure directed by Steven Spielberg—and this 1990s animated TV series, now available for the first time on DVD. Tintin and his loyal dog, Snowy, embark on several globe-trotting excursions in these brainy, boffo half-hour episodes (with terrific titles like "The Crab with the Golden Claws," "Cigars of the Pharaoh," and "The Calculus Affair") that, though they were created some seven decades after TinTin made his newspaper debut, still retain the pulpy, pulse-pounding feel of the original strip.
