Quick note to let you know about the 6thAnnual Loews Coronado Bay Resort Surf Dog Competition on June 4, 2011 for "Happenings."
Spectators are welcome to watch hounds hang ten at America's original surfing competition for dogs – and the only event of its kind when it was launched five years ago. This popular tail-wagging event features dozens of dogs of all shapes and sizes taking to the waves in the small, large and tandem (dog and owner on the same surfboard) categories. It draws thousands of spectators each year, plus expert surfers who participate in the tandem event and perform radical tricks in the waves. It's a woof-worthy way to welcome summer in San Diego and its famous island getaway of Coronado. Festivities start at 10am and go until 2pm. Information: www.LoewsSurfDog.com
