What can you tell me about actress Ann Blyth? I remember watching her in a wonderful movie, Mr. Peabody and the Mermaid, when I was a girl.

Born in Mount Kisco, N.Y., singer-actor Blyth, 82, was performing on Broadway by age 13 and making Hollywood musicals at 15. She earned an Oscar nomination for her portrayal as the wicked daughter, Veda, in Mildred Pierce (1945). Among her 30 movie credits are The World in His Arms, The Student Prince, The Great Caruso and The Helen Morgan Story. The mother of five was a spokesperson for Hostess Cupcakes on TV in the 1970s and last worked before the camera in a 1985 episode of Murder, She Wrote.
