Since the show—based on the true experiences of a deaf woman whose ability to lip-read landed her a job with an elite FBI surveillance unit—ended in 2005, Bray, 39, who is deaf, has been a guest in the TV shows Rescue Me, Law and Order: Criminal Intent and Curb Your Enthusiasm. She co-starred in nine episodes of Heroes and appeared in the movies Universal Signs and Dummy Hoy: A Deaf Hero, and in the TV movie Sweet Nothing in My Ear. Bray recently completed a master’s degree in education. She and her husband, actor Troy Kotsur, who also is deaf, have a young daughter.
