Bill Engvall always makes me laugh. Has he ever been in a movie or TV show, other than the Blue Collar Comedy Tour projects?
—Adam Bently, Elmira, N.Y.

The Galveston, Texas, native, 53, got his start as an actor with small roles in a couple of early 1980s movie comedies, Split Image and Not For Publication, then transitioned to television, where a guest spot on Designing Women led to a recurring role on Delta Burke’s spinoff series, Delta. He was also a regular on buddy Jeff Foxworthy’s TV comedy series, then hosted his own, The Bill Engvall Show, from 2007 to 2009. His movies include Delta Farce, All’s Faire in Love and Bed and Breakfast. And earlier this month, he began his latest TV project as the new host of the game show LINGO, which airs weeknights on GSN at 8 p.m. ET.
