What can you tell me who does the voice of Philip J. Fry on the TV show Futurama
—Thea Green, Dearborn, Mich.

Billy West, 59, not only does Fry's voice but also that of Stimpy on Ren & Stimpy. The actor, who was born in Detroit and raised in Boston, says he realized as young as 4 that he was able to do voices, but, being shy, he never really pursued this talent.

"I thought everybody could do it, but they were too cool to do it," he says. Despite a long resume of voice roles, West, whose idols include Mel Blanc, Daws Butler, June Foray and Don Messick, says he has no favorites of the many characters he now has in his resume. "It is like a nursery of your children. You can't pick your favorite one."
