Hyland, 68, who was born in Queens, N.Y., lives in Southern California with his wife and songwriting partner, Rosmari. He performs in the U.S. and Europe with his son Bodi on the drums. “When not on the road, we are writing and recording. We are continually adding to an archive of classic rock ’n’ roll as well as new original music for independent release on Stone Buffalo Discs,” says Hyland, who went to No. 1 in 1960 with “Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini” and No. 3 on the pop charts in 1970 with “Gypsy Woman.”
