Hall, 57, who returns to the air with his new syndicated late-night “Arsenio Hall Show” on Sept. 9 (check local listings for stations and times), sat out a decade on the TV sidelines after his previous talk show ended in 1994. “I spent many years as a single dad, assuming I was semi-retired,” he says. “But it became increasingly obvious that I missed my late-night gab fest, and my childhood dream of doing what Johnny Carson did is the only thing that makes me totally happy.”
