Carl Parker, who joined The Weather Channel last year, is single and a native of Boston, Mass. He studied journalism at the University of Maryland and broadcast meteorology at Mississippi State University. He worked at KPRC-TV in Houston before joining the Weather Channel. Jeanetta Jones, who is married and has a young daughter, was born in Plainview, Texas, (pop. 22,656) and attended high school in Macon, Ga. She has a bachelor's degree in broadcast news from the University of Georgia. Before joining The Weather Channel in 1986, she was a reporter and did the weather at WSPA-TV in Spartanburg, S.C. (pop. 42,136).
