Born Cedric Kyles in Jefferson City, Mo., the actor and comedian, 48, who plays Rev. Boyce in the TV Land sitcom, earned a mass communications degree at Southeast Missouri State University and worked as a State Farm insurance claims adjuster and substitute school teacher before turning to comedy and finding his break into the spotlight in 1996 with the TV series The Steve Harvey Show.  His movie credits include Man of the House, Larry Crowne and Welcome Home, Roscoe Jenkins, plus he provided the voice of Maurice in three Madagascar animated movies. The married father of three children also created WHO CED, his own line of hats.
