Cheese Industry backs the Plymouth Arts Center's 8th Annual Cheese Capital Jazz Crawl for the Arts

Get ready for Plymouth Arts Center’s exciting 8th annual "Cheese Capital Jazz Crawl for the Arts" in historic downtown Plymouth, WI.  It’s All Cool…..and it’s all happening in one night, Friday, August 12, 2011  from 4pm to 12:30am.  This unique event sponsored by all five local cheese companies, Sargento Foods, The Sartori Company, Masters Gallery Foods, Great Lakes Cheese of Wisconsin and Bordens, features a full evening of the blended arts. Experience the visual arts with the Milwaukee Art Quilters…"Sing the Blues," an art quilt exhibit in Gallery 110 North; a silent and live auction; raffles, mardi gras beads and masks, and the performing arts with 10 live jazz bands at the PAC and in downtown clubs and restaurants.  There's nothing cooler than a warm summer evening surrounded by the charm of Plymouth's historic buildings, proudly exhibiting  21 brand new murals created by the Walldogs, and the sounds of fantastic jazz music. 

The Jazz Crawl is kicked off at 4pm at the Plymouth Arts Center, 520 E. Mill Street. Visit our "Bourbon Street Grill" located in the PAC plaza, from 4-9pm   There is continuous music at the PAC from 4pm to 11pm.  Pick up your 2011 PAC  jazzy commemorative wristband created especially for the event which gives you a chance to win big prizes. Free Mardi Gras beads will be distributed. Wristbands are available for $10 in advance.

Donna Hahn, Executive Director of the Plymouth Arts Center said, “this event has become so popular that it is now Plymouth Arts Center’s signature event and major fundraiser. We are delighted to present this wonderful event for community enjoyment and for our visitors from all over the Midwest, we look forward to a great turn out and a successful fundraiser, especially as we begin our building renovation and expansion this summer.  Again this year, we are showcasing unbelievable talent in a variety of classic and contemporary jazz styles.
