Q How can I vote for the Country Music Association awards? Last year, my favorite singers didn't even get nominated.
—Louise Berth, Taos, N.M.
Unlike some other televised awards events, the CMA Awards are not open for voting by fans or the general public. Nominees and winners are determined by the 6,000 members of the Country Music Association, a professional trade organization of musicians, songwriters, producers, managers, booking agents, music publishers and others involved in the country music industry. George Strait, Brad Paisley, Martina McBride and Alison Krauss are among the nominees for this year's ceremony, The 41st Annual CMA Awards, which will be telecast live Nov. 7 on ABC.
