The Spokane, Washington, native, 69, loves his current gig on “Parenthood” as Zeek Braverman, a Vietnam War veteran who has worked his way through post-traumatic stress disorder. “He has given himself a new lease on life,” Craig T. Nelson says about his character. The actor, who began his career as a comedian, is a fan of motorsports and an avid racer and golfer. Among his credits are the movies “Poltergeist,” “The Killing Fields” and “Justice for All” and the TV series “Coach” and “The District.” The Emmy winner and his wife, Doria, have three children, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
