I remember a wonderful TV series from the 1960s called Daktari. What can you tell me about it?
—Carolyn Stephens, Greencastle, Ind.
The 1966-69 CBS family drama centered on an American veterinarian, Dr. Marsh Tracy (Marshall Thompson), who operated a game preserve and research center in East Africa with his daughter (Cheryl Miller). Other cast members included Yale Summers, Hedley Mattingly, Hari Rhodes and Ross Hagen, but the standout stars were Clarence “the cross-eyed lion” and Judy the chimp. Season one is available on DVD.
