Stern, 53, who played burglar Marv in the first two Home Alone movies, is up to Christmas hijinks again. The Bethesda, Md., native stars in Battle of the Bulbs on Dec. 18 on the Hallmark Channel, as he and Matt Frewer play former best friends engaged in an all-out Christmas decorating contest. "It's a nice holiday story, again telling that story of the over-commercialization of Christmas," Stern says. "And unfortunately, it's a story that has to keep being told over and over, and I wanted to be part of telling it again.
