I love the fleur-de-lis jewelry that Kristian Alfonso wears on Days of Our Lives. Is there some special meaning to it?

The fleur de lis has long been the symbol of inspiration for the Days of Our Lives star. “It has brought me hope and the faith to believe in miracles,” she says.
But you are not the only viewer who has expressed interest in the pieces. So much so that five years ago, Alfonso, 48, decided to start her own jewelry line, which she named Hope Faith Miracles.
“I wanted to design a line that looked Fifth Avenue but at a fraction of the price,” the Brockton, Mass.-born mother of two says. So she began with five pieces that she designed and since has expanded to more than 130 items, the majority of which are sterling silver and rhodium plated, a process she uses because she feels it gives the jewelry a beautiful platinum look.
You might think it is hard to come up with so many different design ideas, but Alfonso says she gets her inspiration everywhere. “I’ll be reading my script, sitting out on my balcony, and I’ll just look out and start thinking about it: ‘What if I did this? What if I did that? What if I started a wedding line?’”
The actress, who has played the role of Hope off and on since April 1983, says that she can sketch, “but I’m not Picasso. Not even on his worst day.” So she works with an artist who can interpret her ideas. “Jewelry for me is the icing on the cake. It adds that extra sparkle, so I want my pieces to be exactly what I envision.”
