What happened to the actor that played Shawn-Douglas Brady on Days of Our Lives?
Pauline Gregory, Foreman, Ark.

Since you did not indicate if it was Jason Cook, who played Shawn-Douglas from 1999 to 2006, or Brandon Beemer, who most recently played the role from 2006-2008, here is an update on both.

Cook, 31, is back on a daytime drama, but on another network. He has been playing Dr. Matt Hunter on ABC’s General Hospital since 2008. He’s also written and directed music videos and commercials, and has partnered with Arianne Zucker, 37, who plays Nicole Walker on Days, and her brother Todd to create a documentary web-based TV series LifeCHANGE, set to launch this summer. It is a feel-good show that will offer six participants between the ages of 18-25 the chance to travel, meet new people and help others—all of which will be documented.

“I think it’s going to make riveting TV, because these people are at a critical juncture [in their lives], and we’re going to put them on a stage that they’ve never been on before and give them the opportunity to affect people’s lives,” says the Camden, N.J.-born actor.

Beemer, 32, a native of Eugene, Ore., has a recurring role on CBS’s The Bold and the Beautiful, playing Owen Knight, and he was one of several members of the cast of the now canceled E! Entertainment’s Dirty Soap, an unscripted series that followed the actors as they navigated their careers and dealt with their own real-life drama. Part of that drama is Beemer’s relationship with Nadia Bjorlin, who played Chloe Lane on Days. The couple has been together for five years and jointly owns a home in Los Angeles.
