Didn’t Henry Winkler play Ebenezer Scrooge in a version of “A Christmas Carol?”
—Maggie Miller, Sacramento, Calif.
Not really, but sort of. Winkler, 66, whose initial claim to fame came as “The Fonze” in the 1970s sitcom “Happy Days,” starred in the 1979 TV movie “An American Christmas Carol,” now on Blu-ray, but his character was Benedict Slade, a Depression-era Ebenezer who runs a finance company in New England. The native New Yorker currently co-stars in “Childrens Hospital” as administrator Sy Mittleman.
