Richard Dawson of ‘Family Feud’ was my favorite game show host. Did he have children?
—Vonda Robinson, Pikeville, Ky.
Born Colin Lionel Emm in Gosport, England, Dawson, who died last year of esophageal cancer at age 79, left behind two sons, a daughter and four grandchildren. The congenial host kissed thousands of women when he greeted contestants during his tenure as the host of “Family Feud.” He was also well known for his role as Cpl. Peter Newkirk in the 1960s sitcom “Hogan’s Heroes” and for his stint as a panelist on “The Match Game.”
