Chris Pratt is so funny as the dad in “Delivery Man.” Does he have any kids of his own?

Chris Pratt, 34, doesn’t have a troupe of rug rats running around like his character in the movie, but he and wife Anna Farris, 37, who stars in “Mom,” have one son. Jack was born August 17, 2012, so Pratt says he definitely relates to his “Delivery Man” role in that he understands what it’s like to be a bit sleep deprived.
And, as it does for the majority of parents, becoming a dad has changed his life in ways he didn’t expect.
“I now have a whole new window through which to see the world,” says the Virginia, Minnesota-born actor, who recently returned from London where he filmed “Guardians of the Galaxy.”
He adds with a smile, “Things I took for granted are exciting for me again: the way things taste or smell, or the way drawers open. I wouldn’t take a minute to appreciate a drawer without my son.”
Pratt, who himself is the youngest of three, adds that while family has always been important to him, before Jack, he didn’t feel as if anything was missing in his life. Rather, he feels that Jack was born at just the right time.
“Now, if I am absent from my son, I do feel that something is missing,” says Pratt, who will return as Andy Dwyer on “Parks and Recreation.” “Before that, I was very fulfilled. I was having a lot of fun sewing wild oats and doing the things you should do when you don’t have kids. Now I’m doing less of that, but I earned it. Spending quiet evenings with my wife and son, or sitting in bed in the morning and watching him marvel over the curtains opening, or whatever little things [catch his attention], that all feels really good.”
