The Scottish singer-songwriter, 65, known for the ’60s hits “Sunshine Superman,” “Mellow Yellow” and “Hurdy Gurdy Man,” was among the most recent inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. “It focused a very strong searchlight on my work,” he says. “Younger audiences can turn on to me by Googling the word ‘Donovan’ and 26 albums appear”—including his latest, the 36-song double-CD The Essential Donovan, released in April.
