I was impressed by Eric Roberts’ efforts to improve his life on the TV show Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew. Does he have any new movies in the works?

The prolific actor, 55, whose movies over the past three decades include Star 80, The Pope of Greenwich Village and Runaway Train, is back in the spotlight with Deadline, a modern-day drama about a couple of newspaper reporters investigating the murder of a black teenager in a racially divided Southern town. The older brother of actress Julia Roberts and the father of rising star Emma Roberts admits his life has seen its share of mishaps, including strained relationships with his family, a serious automobile crash and a string of acting missteps. “I’ve had people say to me, ‘It’s a shame what happened to your career.’ I just smile and say, ‘I’ve had a blast.’ I really have.”
