What is Erik Estrada up to these days? Does he plan to return to TV?

Alexa Senior, Las Cruces, N.M.

Estrada, 62, has put on his dancing shoes for the second season of Univision's reality dance show ¡Mira Quién Baila! (Look Who's Dancing!). The former CHiPs star, who has also worked on a telenovela, commercials and done voiceover work, says, "Basically, I am doing it because of my mom. It was one of her dreams: show business, dancing. She couldn't accomplish it. She had kids in New York. Her life was us. She said, 'You have to do this. I want to see you on Latin television.' I said, 'All right, ma.'"

When not acting or dancing, Estrada does his bit for law enforcement. This summer, he filmed a public service announcement for Los Angeles' "Carmageddon," the shutting down of the 405 Freeway one weekend, and he is very involved with the Safe Surfin' Foundation & Internet Crimes Against Children Task Forces, which works to protect children from online sexual predators.
