That was film, Broadway and TV star Eva Marie Saint, who won the supporting actress Oscar for her performance in that 1954 drama. Saint, 87, who was born in Newark, N.J., also worked with such leading men as Cary Grant in North by Northwest, Montgomery Clift in Raintree County, Paul Newman in Exodus and Richard Burton in The Sandpiper. Her film credits in recent years include Because of Winn-Dixie, Don’t Come Knocking and Superman Returns. Saint is set to be the voice of the elderly Katara in Nickelodeon’s animated series The Last Airbender: Legend of Korra.
