Can you give me information on country singer Freddie Hart and where we can obtain his CDs?
—Albert R., Alabama
Freddie Hart, a native of Lochapoka, Ala., is doing little performing these days, but he's proud of his 2004 induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. The more than 400 recordings of his songs include Loose Talk, the "B" side of Patsy Cline's I Fall to Pieces. As an artist, Hart began recording in 1953 and went on to have 11 No. 1s and numerous Top Ten hits, including Easy Loving, My Hang-Up Is You and Super Kind of Woman. While Hart says not all his records are available on CD, The Best of Freddie Hart should be available at most record stores. Hart also recorded a couple of gospel albums that have yet to be released. Hart and his wife, Virginia, who have four sons, live in Burbank, Calif. "My life has been a blessing," says Hart, 78. "I am very proud of everything I've done."
