Please catch me up on Gregg Allman of Allman Brothers fame.
—Jason Rogers, Omaha, Neb.
The Southern rocker, 65, just saw his successful memoir, “My Cross To Bear,” released as a paperback edition and reports that a movie may be in the works. His motivation to tell his tales? “The other books out about the [Allman] brothers [are] just crap. I thought, ‘I’ll set the damn story right.’” The Nashville, Tenn., native earned a Grammy nomination for his 2011 album “Low Country Blues” and plans to release his next CD later this year. He continues to perform in both The Allman Brothers and his own band.
