The TV show’s musical theme was composed by Henry Mancini, who won two Grammy awards for his jazzy tune. Created by Blake Edwards a few years before he produced “The Pink Panther” movies, “Peter Gunn” ran on NBC from 1958 to 1961. The series, which starred Craig Stevens, is now on DVD.
