Club member Chuck Schmidt of Feasterville, Pennsylvania, uses a simple and effective method to dry his paint roller covers that prevents the ends from getting crusty. After washing out a roller cover, he hangs it up to drip dry. First he elongates a wire coat hanger by pulling it from the bottom. Then he slips the cover over it and hangs it on a line. The spring action of the hanger against the inside of the cover holds it in place.
