Quickly cutting sandpaper to a usable size is easy if you have a good cutting edge. Derek Walker of Billings, Montana, attaches an old hacksaw blade to the edge of his workbench, leaving the saw teeth just above the benchtop surface. To tear the sandpaper, he places it over the blade teeth and pulls down. Mounting the blade on the edge of the bench instead of flat on the benchtop keeps the blade from flexing as you pull the paper.
