The Los Angeles-born actress is the daughter of David Cassidy, 62, and model Sherry Williams, but she was raised by her mother and stepfather, who have no Hollywood connections. But Cassidy, 26, is quickly making a name for herself in show business. She starred on TV’s “Supernatural,” “Harper’s Island,” “Melrose Place” and “Gossip Girl” before landing the lead of Laurel Lance on “Arrow.” “My father is obviously very proud and happy for me,” she says. “Growing up, he always said, ‘Don’t take a job just to take a job. Make sure that you feel extremely passionate about it.’”
