I've always adored singer Janis Ian. What's she doing?
—Randy Glass, Ithaca, N.Y.
The "At Seventeen" folk singer, 57, is on the road this summer with Hippiefest, where she'll join Badfinger, The Turtles and other acts for some of the dates on the third annual mobile classic-rock festival. And she's gearing up to promote the July 24 release of her autobiography, Society's Child, titled after her debut hit single from 1967. "I don't really know the world of book festivals," admits Ian, who lives in Nashville, Tenn. "But I must admit, the thought of traveling somewhere without having to lug three cases of musical gear is tempting!"
