Jeff Foxworthy Hosts CMT Awards on April 11
Talking about everyday stuff has made Jeff Foxworthy, 46, one of the most successful funnymen in the United States with his Blue Collar Comedy tour, movie, TV series and comedy albums. That's why he's been invited to host the 2005 CMT Music Awards, airing live at 8 p.m. ET April 11. And he doesn't plan to change his act one iota to do so. "I have people all the time in the media that will ask, ‘How many people are offended by redneck jokes?'" he says. "And the honest answer is none. The more people are guilty of it, the better they like it." Foxworthy, who lives in Atlanta with his wife and two daughters, is excited about hosting a show where the awards are given by the fans. "They tried to tell me it was an honor," he says. "I've never taken myself too seriously, so for me it was really fun. When it was over, people asked me, ‘Are you OK?' I was, ‘Yeah, it was funny.'"
