Caviezel, 43, who was born in Mount Vernon, Wash., is most famous for portraying Jesus in Mel Gibson’s controversial 2004 film The Passion of the Christ. A college basketball player, he dreamed of an NBA career, but a foot injury derailed those plans. His breakthrough film role came in The Thin Red Line in 1998. Other movie credits include Angel Eyes, High Crimes, The Count of Monte Cristo, Déjà Vu and Bobby Jones: Stroke of Genius. The married father of three children stars next on the big screen in the true-life historical drama Savannah and the road-trip thriller Transit.
